Our campaign strives to transform Singapore's public transportation system into a beacon of inclusivity and support for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs). Despite existing initiatives, significant challenges such as navigational hurdles, cognitive and sensory overload, and communication difficulties persist.
Our mission is to dismantle these barriers through innovative strategies. By partnering with educational institutions, we will embed awareness and empathy towards PWDs from an early age. This includes enhancing art curriculums and conducting parent-child workshops to foster a culture of inclusivity. Collaborating with local transportation authorities like LTA and SMRT, we will ensure high-visibility placements for our campaign and inclusive messaging across MRT stations and trains. Building a focused community through regular meet-ups, workshops, and forums will provide a platform for PWDs to voice their needs and for the community to offer support. Volunteering programs will train individuals to assist PWDs in navigating public transport, promoting hands-on engagement and empathy. Leveraging social media, we will create compelling storytelling, interactive posts, and informative videos to reach a broad audience.
This multifaceted approach aims to foster a profound sense of collective responsibility, creating a public transportation environment that not only acknowledges diversity but celebrates and supports it, ensuring every journey is inclusive and no one is left unseen.
