BACKSTAGE [ bak · stayj ] : the area in a theatre out of view of the audience.
There are people who enjoy watching dance pieces and appreciates the art and there are people creating and performing that art. Backstage not only aims to educate and bring awareness to the audiences, it also serves as an introduction zine to aspiring dancers who wants to achieve more and improve their dance skills.
This zine includes all the upcoming events of the year, from dance competitions to recitals. Inspiring the dancers to pursue their dreams, from just a hobby to a career. Inviting audiences from Singapore to come down to watch and support the arts or dance scene in particular.
Most people would not know and understand what happens in the dance scene. It may not be seen as a sport but for the types of trainings and competitions, it should be recognised as one.
The goal of the zine is to bring the dance community in Singapore together, forging bonds from all ages, dance genres and skill level.
