In pediatrics healthcare, the hospital experience often causes anxiety and fear for young patients. My project aims to transform this by developing an interactive robotic companion specifically designed to comfort and support children during medical procedures. By integrating advanced robotics into the healthcare environment, I seek to reduce stress and create a more engaging experience for both children and their caregivers.

Speculative design is crucial in this project, offering a fresh perspective on design thinking. By envisioning possible futures, I can challenge existing assumptions and create innovative solutions for pediatric patients. This approach allows me to develop user experiences that are both feasible and deeply empathetic.

My goal is to make children feel less anxious and more comfortable during medical procedures. Incorporating interactive and playful elements distracts and entertains children, making hospital visits less daunting. Additionally, real-time health monitoring ensures the safety and well-being of young patients. This approach enhances the patient experience and provides peace of mind for caregivers, knowing their children are supported and monitored throughout their medical journey.
