Hello, I am Matthew. I have explored many fields during my studies, Games Art & Design, Visual Effects, and Communication Design. I aim to capitalise on any opportunity to harmonise the three fields to create an impactful product/project, leaving a positive mark.
ABYSS
ABYSS is a choice-based narrative game with non-linear endings, where you assume the role of a Marshal (governor) of an eastern-bloc seafaring nation, Volnaska. Decisions made could potentially influence future choices, which could change your narrative.

As the Marshal, you will be responsible for Volnaska’s choices, internally and externally; leading her people to glory and a better tomorrow, while keeping the Epoch satisfied, and managing foreign affairs with various nations within Elyzon (continent).

ABYSS: Overture is a prologue story, set in the distant past of ABYSS. To assist you in adjusting to your role of Marshal, you will relive their predecessor’s memories, Marshal Nikita, who played a pivotal role, in shaping Volnaksa into what she is.

As you relive in his memories, you will discover the complexity and the dilemmas that Marshals will have to face, and better prepare you for your role; forging alliances with unlikely entities, and sacrificing lives, and more.

You may need to utilise some soft skills like problem-solving and intuitions. You may need to be calculating to ensure that Volnaska is one step ahead from those who wish for her downfall.
