“Kongkow” is an editorial newspaper zine that invites you to reflect on the cultural dilemma Chinese-Indonesians battle with to get in touch with their cultural roots that have faded over time. In Chinese-Betawi culture, the phrase "kongkow" refers to an act of gathering and chatting about the past. Through stories from various generations of Chinese-Indonesians, “Kongkow” aims to spark discussions about identity crisis and visibility. Engage yourself in discourse about history, traditions, language, and design through interviews and artworks by Chinese-Indonesians.
